As a Strategic Partner in Web Summit Qatar (WSQ) 2024 and the exclusive partner of the Corporate Innovation Summit (CIS), QRDI Council was given an opportunity to present and highlight its role and influence in shaping Qatar’s RDI landscape.
Located at the heart of the event, the QRDI Council’s “Innovation Hub” within its Pavilion, featured a lineup of activities that fostered engagement and collaboration. The QRDI Council hosted 25 sessions with 75 speakers, covering a wide array of RDI topics. The pavilion also accommodated 12 exhibitors showcasing their latest innovations.
During the summit, three brand-new initiatives aimed at rejuvenating Qatar’s RDI ecosystem were revealed. The Milaha Industry Innovation Challenge, the Knowledge Transfer Partnership Qatar (KTP-Q), and the Technology Development Grant (TDG). Additionally, Alchemist Doha, a first and exclusive MENA program for tech startups, to support entrepreneurs in Qatar, was also unveiled.
With over 15,000+ participants, including 400+ investors and 1,000+ startups, Web Summit Qatar aimed to forge connections between emerging Middle Eastern founders and a global audience of investors, journalists, and partners. The event, part of Web Summit's international series, highlighted sustainable futures, marking a significant milestone in the region's tech scene.
