Industry innovation Challenge (IIC)

• QRDI Council and Milaha are committed to seek innovative solutions to address sustainability challenges, in this instance, for the maritime industry. This initiative seeks to introduce energy efficient solutions for port operations through electrifying harbor craft operations, building the infrastructure for charging and energy harvesting, and digitalizing the navigational system at the port. 

• Up to five companies will be awarded a grant of up to US$1million each to solve this Challenge. Up to US$100,000 will first be awarded to support proof-of-concept development. Solutions will be piloted with Milaha or one of the partner entities. Upon successful proof-of-concept, the remaining grant will be disbursed. However, awarded companies must incorporate a company and carry out the development in Qatar to receive the full award beyond the initial $100,000.
